Held at Louis Engel Waterfront Park in Ossining, NY on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, Noon to 8pm.
Attended by over 1,000 music fans, this full day of Blues Music was inspired by an article in Westchester Magazine about the 1972 BB King Thanksgiving Day concert inside Sing-Sing Prison. This was an act of hope and love by BB King, and we wanted to follow in his footsteps, sharing Blues music with the community and the next generation of Blues fans.
Partnering with The Hudson Valley Blues Society, and with the support of several local business, we panned out an amazing lineup of Local, National and International Blues artists. A few local restaurants partnered with UTRE to provide food and beverages, and a selection of carefully curated craft vendors were invited for the day.
Through purpose designed marketing and advertising strategies, utilizing a combination of print and digital media, along with grassroots local advertising, word was spread and over 1,000 music fans attended the festival. The Up The River social media accounts are flooded with positive and encouraging comments about the day, and requests for us to do it again in 2025.
